Creating a Teams chat with Revial support
Add Revial to a Microsoft Teams group chat as an external guest, including the external-access check your IT administrator may need to run first.
A shared Teams group chat is the fastest way to reach Revial for quick support questions during onboarding and afterwards.
Before you begin — verify external communication
To add the Revial team to a Teams group chat, your organisation's Teams environment must allow external communication. Ask your IT administrator to run this check:
- Log in to the Teams Admin Center: admin.teams.microsoft.com
- Navigate to Users → External access. Two options:
- Allow all external domains — the simplest option
- Or add
revial.onmicrosoft.comto the allowed domains list (Allow only specific external domains → Add domain → revial.onmicrosoft.com)
- Ensure Users can communicate with Teams and Skype for Business users is enabled
- Save
The change usually takes effect within a few minutes, but can take up to a few hours. After that, you can add us to a group chat as usual.
Create a new group chat
- Open Microsoft Teams
- Select Chat from the left sidebar and click New message
- Click the downward arrow in the top right corner and name the group — for example Your company × Revial
- Type
support@revial.onmicrosoft.comin the To field and click Invite to Teams. Repeat for your named Revial contact if you have one. - Click the message field at the bottom and type a greeting
- Done — use this channel for quick support and help
Additional information
Security. External guests have limited permissions. They can only see the conversation they have been added to.
If you are unable to add external users, your organisation's IT administrator needs to check the Teams Admin Center under Users → External access to ensure external communication is enabled.
